Permanent Working Platform Co-creating the city – Future of Cities: Experimental Cities

14 october

Description

Cities are taking the lead. Cities have the potential of being the bold thinkers of our urban times, the experimenters, the idea-makers, the ones implementing change that is capable of affecting millions of lives on a daily basis. With this experimental mission for their cities, several forward-thinking Mayors have seen the need to create mechanisms for new ideas to be tested; sometimes even creating new types of government offices within government, immersed both in day to day solutions as well as thinking about the future of cities.
In this panel both directors of Labs as well as organisations working closely with government will jointly speak about their journey, the projects, possibilities and risks of Lab-type practices; as well as visions of the future and the potential of  an experimental and creative society.
