Regional Director for Central and North America and the Caribbean of International Organization for Migration (IOM)
Marcelo Pisani joined IOM in 1999 as Operations Coordinator in Honduras, later assuming the position of Director of the Hostels Exit Program, also in this country, in response to victims of Hurricane Mitch. From 2000 to 2006, he worked as a representative of IOM programs in Bogotá, Colombia; and from 2006 to 2007, he became deputy chief of mission of this office. In October 2007, he was appointed IOM Chief of Mission in Harare, Zimbabwe, and from July 2010 until October 2014 held the post of Head of IOM Mission in Bogotá, Colombia. Since November 2014 he heads the Regional Office for Central America, North America and the Caribbean, based in San Jose, Costa Rica. Chilean citizen, Marcelo Pisani is an architect by profession and holds a Masters in Project Management.
